Preparation and cooking time: 1 hour
Meat:
800g beef flank steak, cut into 2cm wide strips, against the grain
Ingredients:
1/2 cup maple syrup
6 tbsp reduced-sodium soy sauce
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
1 tbsp sesame seeds
1/2 tsp toasted sesame oil
1/2 tsp sriracha
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 green onion, thinly sliced
Juice of 1/2 lime
Salt and pepper
Instructions:
In a bowl, add all ingredients (except the flank steak) and only 3/4 of the green onion rings.
Season with salt and pepper and mix well.
Place the flank steak in a large airtight dish and pour 3/4 of the marinade over it. Seal the dish and shake up vigorously. Set the meat and the rest of the marinade aside in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
Preheat barbecue to maximum heat, then reduce to medium. Thoroughly oil the grill and place the skewers on the heat. Grill for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare cook.
Brush meat with remaining marinade.
Plate and garnish with sesame seeds and green onion.
Enjoy your meal.
