What is this?

The elk (Cervus canadensis) is a species of herbivorous mammals of the deer family. It is one of the largest deer in the world with the sambar but after the elk or moose. In American English it is called elk, but this word means moose in British English, which is called moose in the United States and English-speaking Canada.
